The Cinematic Sequence
Eight stages between a wall and a façade.
01Chapter
The Existing Building
Every façade starts with a structure that already exists.
We begin by reading the building as it stands: substrate, sheathing, openings, exposure and the condition of what is currently on the wall. Free estimation is the first conversation — before any material is chosen, we establish what the building can carry and what it needs.
- Site assessment
- Substrate & exposure review
- Free estimate
02Chapter
The Vision
What the building should say when it is finished.
A façade is the first and longest conversation a building has with the street. We work from your intent — the read you want, the neighbours you sit beside, the budget you have — and turn it into a clear design direction before drawings begin.
- Design intent
- Budget alignment
- System strategy
03Chapter
The Material
ACM, aluminum, corrugated metal, glass.
Material is not decoration; it is performance. ACM gives a flat architectural plane. Aluminum siding gives board and shadow. Corrugated gives profile and depth. Curtain wall gives light. We select for climate, fire performance, maintenance and the look you're after.
- PE & FR cores
- Solid, metallic, wood, stone
- 10–30 year finish warranty
04Chapter
The Design
Panel layout, joint lines, shop drawings.
Façade design is where the elevation is resolved: panel sizing, joint alignment, corner returns, reveals and transitions. Shop drawings turn that geometry into something a shop can fabricate and a crew can install without improvising on site.
- Panel layout
- Joint & reveal setting
- Shop drawings
05Chapter
The Measurement
3D scanning and as-built dimensions.
Because panels are custom, measurement decides whether the façade fits. We 3D scan the exterior walls or manually measure every length and angle after the substrate is clean and the windows are installed — never before.
- 3D scanning
- As-built verification
- Tolerance control
06Chapter
The Fabrication
Cut, routed and folded in our shop.
In our North York shop, panels are cut, routed and folded to specification, with installation hardware attached before anything reaches site. Controlled fabrication is what makes fast, precise installation possible.
- CNC cutting & routing
- Folding & hardware
- Shop quality control
07Chapter
The Installation
Weather barrier, mounting system, panel.
On site the sequence is unforgiving: waterproofing membrane and flashings first, then the mounting system that determines that panels sit flat and safe, then panel by panel until the elevation closes. Project management keeps the trades, the schedule and the inspections in order.
- Weather barrier & flashings
- Mounting system
- Panel installation
08Chapter
Finished Architecture
From structure to statement.
What was a building becomes a face. Flat, aligned, weather-tight, and built to hold its finish through Ontario winters with nothing more than washing — backed by finish warranties of ten to thirty years.
- Maintenance-free finish
- 10–30 year warranty
- Handover & walkthrough
