Residential

A House
That Reads
As Architecture.

Black ACM, fluted aluminum, wood-look profiles and clean corner returns — residential exteriors that look designed rather than sided, built for Ontario winters.

01Approach

Residential façades.

Most homes are clad in whatever the builder had a crew for. The result is a house that looks like every other house on the street.

We treat a private home the way we treat a commercial elevation: a panel grid set against the window openings, joints that line through, corners that return cleanly, and trims colour-matched instead of improvised.

That means measuring the house as built, fabricating panels for it specifically, and installing over a proper weather barrier and mounting system so the finish stays flat and dry.

02What matters here

Priorities.

01

Curb appeal

The elevation is designed before anything is ordered — grid, joints and corners resolved on paper.

02

Winter durability

Aluminum and ACM do not rot, warp or need repainting through freeze-thaw cycles.

03

Low maintenance

Washing is the maintenance schedule. No annual staining, sealing or repainting.

04

Clean detailing

Soffits, reveals and trims colour-matched to the panel so nothing looks bolted on.

03Systems

What we use.

ACM / ACP

Aluminum composite panels (ACM, also called ACP) are two bonded aluminum sheets over a solid polyethylene or fire-retardant core. The result is a flat, lightweight, rigid cladding panel that can be cut, routed and folded into custom façade shapes — used for exterior walls, soffits, column wraps, canopies and signage.

Aluminum Siding

Aluminum siding is a coated aluminum cladding board fixed horizontally or vertically to a building exterior. It is lightweight, insect-proof, non-rotting and 100% recyclable. Alumshine supplies smooth and textured profiles with a two-coat baked-on Polycoat 9000 finish, plus architectural-grade longboard systems used as an alternative to cedar.

Vinyl Siding

Vinyl siding is a PVC cladding board used mainly on houses. It is one of the most cost-effective exterior systems available, needs little maintenance beyond washing, and comes in a broad colour range. Alumshine supplies and installs vinyl siding across Toronto and the GTA.

Aluminum Slatted Walls

Aluminum slatted walls are repeated aluminum profiles mounted on a carrier system with an open gap between each slat. The rhythm creates shadow lines and depth, and the gaps allow air movement and screening — used for feature elevations, entrances, soffits, privacy screens and interior walls.

Glass Railing

Glass railings use tempered glass panels held by base channels, posts or point fixings to guard balconies, terraces and stairs without blocking the view. Alumshine supplies and installs exterior glass railing systems across Toronto and the GTA alongside our curtain wall work.
